This rare 1970s floor lamp was designed by Italian-born French designer, Pierre Cardin. The lamp features circular forms at top and bottom connected by a single pole surrounded by hanging brass beaded chains.
Two standard-base bulbs are located where the beaded chains meet the diffuser, and an additional standard bulb is located at the very top of the lamp. A three-way switch offers the option of illuminating either the chains, the ceiling, or both. The lamp is made of aluminum and steel with a gold-toned brass finish. It measures 11" in diameter x 64.25" tall x 8 diameter at the shade.
It comes signed with the original Pierre Cardin label. It is in very good vintage condition with only minor wear to the finish including some light scratches and signs of age as shown in the photos. It presents beautifully; this lamp is sure to take your breath away. The item "1970s Pierre Cardin Brass Beaded Metal Chain Floor Lamp" is in sale since Monday, October 19, 2020.
