500 million years ago if my house existed then it would be covered by a shallow sea. You can even walk out to my backyard and find fossils rolling down the hillside as it erodes. Most are just debri that floated to the bottom, but some are cool things.
To our west is a national historic site where there's a fossilized reef 450 million years old. So no surprise I've imagined some sea creatures in my mind and welded them into sculptures.
