Vintage Brother Mel Meyer Nuts Bolts Metal Steel Sculpture Modern Art Brutalist
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale an amazing and unique vintage steel sculpture by famed artist, Mel Meyer (aka Brother Mel). The sculpture is entirely red in color, and it consists of an angular base to which a triangle of joined nuts, bolts and assorted pieces of metal in various shapes, is attached. The way it is attached gives the triangle the appearance that it is floating in space - it's rather incredible!
The base is signed by the artist, Mel Meyer (see photos). The sculpture is large and very heavy!
It looks great both indoors and out, depending on where you decide to display it. The floating triangle made up of different pieces of metal measures approx. 19.5" x 19.5" x 19.5. The triangular base measures approx.
19.5" x 17" x 15. Condition: Very good vintage condition - no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, dents, dings, rust, oxidation, etc. On the back side it looks like water dripped on the paint, and it left a few light streak marks (see photos).It does not really detract in our opinion, but is being mentioned for accuracy. It can very easily be touched-up, or just left one. We chose to leave it in the condition in which it was acquired.
